SANTA'S ALMOST HERE!!

It's almost time for Santa! I finally got my cards out, too! Only took me three tries this year and all before the 23rd! But my decorations never did get completed. Oh well, maybe I'll do better next year. Hope everyone has a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. And in the midst of all the hustle and bustle, don't forget the real REASON for the season, and say Happy Birthday to Baby Jesus too!

Photo Shoots

I've been a bit quiet lately - busy with my photography, getting ready for the Christmas season and, unfortunately, saying goodbye to a friend from church who passed away unexpectedly last weekend. The latter has put me in a very sad mood - to say the least. I will always remember a very wonderful lady with a big, big heart. If you can, for a moment, say a quick prayer for her husband, children and grandchildren, who are feeling a very big loss.

I have been busy with my photography business lately and have been putting some posts on my website and facebook pages. Maybe you've had a chance to view? A few others I am posting here. These were shot in the Woodlands - on Market Street and along the Waterway.

My family portrait special is still going on through the end of this year. If you can't fit a session in during the holidays, why not purchase a gift card for the same special, and schedule your family shoot after the holidays. I will honor the gift cards through February 28, 2011.

Well, it's finally Friday again, after what seems like a long week. Got a busy weekend planned - two photo shoots - but at least the weather seems like it will cooperate! Will have some new photos to post in the next couple days. Have a happy, safe and blessed weekend!

Another successful ending to a nerve wracking time. Soot is back with his family safe and sound.

ANOTHER LOST GREYHOUND - SPRING TX

Received another notification earlier from GPA/Houston about another lost greyhound in the Spring area. If you should happen to see this critter, please do not chase him. Running after greyhounds can only spook them more. Here is the doggie and contact info and let's pray this will have a happy ending:

Lost near Cypresswood Dr. & Enchanted Oaks Dr.

here's what we know at this time:

His name is SOOT, and he is 7 years old.
Black male greyhound - GPA Tag #3409.
Is not wearing a collar/tags but is microchipped.
Lost this morning on Leaflet Lane in Spring.
Soot is a bit skittish but does know his name.

Owner and friends have been looking for Soot and have notified
local Animal Control.

If you see or find Soot, please call 832-723-4402
or the GPA Houston 24/7 emergency line at 713-866-4466.

"If you spot Soot, PLEASE DO NOT GIVE CHASE!"

Just received this info from GPA/Houston about a lost greyhound.

We received a call today about a lost greyhound in the Spring Shadows subdivision - zip code 77043. Here is the information we have so far:

Her name is Lacy, black with white feet - tattooes 86823/119E.
Lacy is 11 years old and wears no collar.
She is friendly and will come up to people.

Lost on Manila Lane in the Spring Shadows subdivision.
Missing since last night when contractor left gate open.

Owner is posting signs in the area with Lacy's picture.

Tonight

Went to the monthly mixer of the Spring Klein Chamber of Commerce. It was good reconnecting with some folks I hadn't seen in a long time. Now I'm already looking forward to next month's mixer.

HAPPY SATURDAY

Well, my pooches (all four of them) woke me early today, so I guess I'm up and ready to get going. Have a fairly quiet Saturday planned for a change. Hope everyone has a great weekend.

I am posting some pictures from my recent vacation, which took me to Idaho Falls, Yellowstone and Grand Tetons. Although the weather was yucky for a good part of the time, I still managed to get some photos I like. Hope you enjoy.

Family Wedding

Shot a nice family wedding last Saturday in Pennsylvania. Hadn't been there since since a death in the family 3 years ago. Glad this was a happy occasion.

Had a bit of nostalgia as I was driving away from the Philly airport and was wondering if I could ever move back there. As soon as I got out on the roads I starting hitting potholes. And I remembered one of the reasons why I moved away in the first place. When the snow flurries hit on Sunday morning, with the weather being COLD!! (and me with NO COAT!), I remembered another BIG reason why I live in Texas.

However, trip was good. Got to see a long-time friend I had not seen in years, and reconnected with what's left of my family.

I am hoping to try to go back a little more often, even if only for long weekends.

New Day, New Week

Well, I have once again gotten behind. Never fails. I will post some senior pics soon. I promise. In the meantime, I recover from a spring festival on Saturday - the 2nd Annual Chick-Fil-A festival in Spring. God rewarded us with no rain, but kept us busy fighting the wind. As it was I lost one picture to glass damage and 4 frames of broken glass. Oh well - comes with the territory. But no rain! - and a great turnout! Many thanks to the Chick-Fil-A people for hosting another winner!

Heading up to a wedding in Pennsylvania on Saturday, so there is never a dull moment.
